⭐ OneBlockThe namesake mod — the entire pack revolves around it

Mod version: 1.6.0 · Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge 36.2.34 · Java 8

About

OneBlock is the gameplay foundation of this modpack: you spawn on a single grass block suspended in a void world, and that one block regenerates with new materials every time you break it. The progression of what the block drops is staged — you start with dirt, wood and basic stone, then gradually unlock cobblestone, ores, mob spawns, biome materials, nether resources, end resources, and finally modded resources from the other mods in the pack.

The void world generator (level-type=voidworld:voidworld) gives you nothing else — no naturally generated terrain anywhere within reach. Every block you place comes from the OneBlock, from a mod, or from someone trading it to you.

Things to do

Getting started

Break the spawn block. Place dirt to extend your platform. Use the first wood drops to make a crafting table, sticks, a wooden pickaxe, then a stone pickaxe — and start building outward. Do not fall off the platform without a void totem (the pack ships Void Totem and it'll save you once). After ~50 block-breaks the OneBlock starts dropping ores and the first mobs spawn on top of it (zombies, skeletons) — be ready with at least a stone sword.

The OneBlock mod itself is mechanically simple — the interesting content is the surrounding pack. See the modpack-level CurseForge page for community Let's Play series, and the per-mod wiki pages here for the actual progression content.
