About
Mana and Artifice is the spiritual successor to Ars Magica 2 — same magic-flavor, modernized internals. Spells are crafted at the Spell Crafter from Shapes (Self / Projectile / Touch / AOE) + Components (Damage, Heal, Storm, Wall, Summon Wolf, etc.) + Modifiers (Damage Up, Range Up, etc.). You start with low Magic Level and gain it by casting; higher level unlocks more complex spell recipes. Three Factions (Demoji, Anima, Faylen) give different bonuses if you align.
Things to do
- Find Vinteum Ore → make Vinteum Dust → first Practitioner's Pouch + Mage's Codex
- Build a Wellspring + Mana Generator → mana economy
- Craft spells at the Spell Crafter, level up by casting
- Build a Mana Battery for storage; an Imbuement Chamber for tool enchanting
- Align with a Faction at the appropriate altar for passive bonuses
Getting started
Vinteum Ore is rare — generate on stone biomes (deep). Get the Mage's Codex first thing; it auto-unlocks chapters as you level. Cast cheap spells repeatedly early on to grind Magic Level.
