IE is the steampunk-flavored industrial mod. Power is moved via Wires hanging between Connectors (LV / MV / HV) — visually realistic. Machines are large Multiblocks: Coke Oven, Blast Furnace, Crusher, Arc Furnace, Excavator (chunk-eater quarry), Diesel Generator. Immersive Petroleum adds oil pumpjacks, distillation tower, fuel refining. The aesthetic is the selling point — every multiblock looks great and has animated parts.

- Coke Oven → Creosote Oil → Treated Wood (used in many machines)
- Blast Furnace → Steel
- Excavator on a large vein → quarry-like mining
- Pumpjack → crude oil → distillation tower (Petroleum addon)
- Diesel Generator burns diesel for high FE/t
Getting started
Engineer's Manual (in-game book) is the canonical guide — every multiblock has a step-by-step build animation in it. Treated Wood is the early-game bottleneck; build the Coke Oven first.
