About
Compact Machines lets you build a block that internally is a 3×3, 5×5, 7×7 or larger room in its own pocket dimension. Right-click with a Personal Shrinking Device to enter. You can put anything in there — full ore-processing chain, a mob farm, a small factory — and the block exterior shows tiny I/O ports for items, fluids, and energy. Massively reduces base footprint.
Things to do
- Build a Tiny Compact Machine (3×3) for your first cobble generator
- Larger sizes (Small 5×5, Normal 7×7, Large 9×9, Giant 11×11, Maximum 13×13) for bigger factories
- Tunnels: special blocks inside the machine that map to a specific side of the outside block, allowing piped I/O
Getting started
Craft the Personal Shrinking Device + a Wall block → Compact Machine block. Place it in the world, right-click with the device to enter. JEI shows recipes for the Tunnels and Wall variants.
